From 31 January to 28 February Vernadaki had a solo exhibition in the Facchetti Gallery in Paris. It was the first time that this gallery had hosted an exhibition of ceramic art, as was noted by the press at the time. Large ceramoplastic forms made of stoneware were exhibited and the accompanying catalogue had texts about Vernadaki’s work by Nikos Papadakis, Tony Spiteris and Dora Iliopoulou-Rogan. The works were displayed simply and unostentatiously. Ceramic forms set on the crates in which they had been transported from Greece showed how modern ceramics had “invaded” an exhibition space more oriented towards painting and sculpture.
