Ten Forms (Deka Formes), Polyplano Art Gallery, Athens, 1976

In February 1973 Vernadaki’s third solo exhibition, Ten Forms, was inaugurated at the Polyplano Gallery. These were works she had made during her stay in the village of Margarites in Crete in the summer of 1973, when she was working in local potters’ workshops. They are large, figurine-shaped ceramic forms, unglazed and fired in outdoor kilns. There were complimentary reviews of the exhibition from Beatrice Spiliadis, Maria Kotzamani, Tony Spiteris and Dora Iliopoulou-Rogan.
